Nov 12, 2016 I was wondering how to upgrade from my normal Traktor Pro 2 license to a Scratch Pro 2 license. When I press the upgrade button inside Traktor, it crashes, and then opens up ServiceCenter. On the software side, the device came with Traktor LE and Serato but I personally use Traktor 2 so I can only speak about that. The setup was pretty straight forward, despite reviews I had read prior purchasing it which suggested Traktor is a pain to set up.
I got the Numark Mixtrack Pro and I’m enjoying it very much, however, I kind of miss using Virtual DJ. With Traktor LE (what came with it) it looks all professional, and the file browsing is on point, but the LE version is pretty stripped back… I can’t record or use hotcues, one of the main things I liked about using Virtual DJ, which was free. Now I can’t use VDJ with my controller because that’s only available with the Pro version, and I was wondering whether it would be a better idea to buy Traktor 2 Pro or Virtual DJ Pro. I know Traktor 2 Pro is a much more professional program, but I dunno if I’ll like it even after the upgrade… it just doesn’t seem as user friendly as VDJ.
Should I buy Traktor 2 Pro and practise on it, in the knowledge that it’ll come out better or should I buy VDJ and stick to what I know? Help!

More fxIf I recall correctly there’s a demo version of traktor that gives you everything pro has except recording and it only lasts for 30 mins at a time. Look into that and see how you like it.
I have about 90 effects installed using vdj pro & they can be chained just like traktor…

If I were you I would have waited a few more days to preview vdj8 before making a decision… Traktor is definately a faster out of box solution than vdj, but vdj has many more possibilities.
